Berlin- the eye of Germany

Berlin is the capital city of Germany. It is the sole witness of World War- I & II, Cold War, and the Berlin Wall of Germany. It is the city full of music, art, and politics. As the history says, during cold world war, tension grew up between East Germany and West Germany. This lead to the building of the Berlin Wall dividing it into two parts as it is located at the center of Germany.Later it is united in the 20th Century. From this information, you can conclude that Berlin did play an important role in the history of Germany.

Apart from this history, lots of buildings and museums are there which makes you see the history once again in front of your eyes.
Potsdamer Platz in Berlin is a must place to visit as you can still see the remaining of some buildings destructed during Second World War. Later on it was reconstructed for making it a business center where work goes on from day to night.

Pergamon museum is one of the fascinating museums of the world having collection of archeological antique. One of the attractive examples of this museum is Babylon’s Ishtar Gate. This museum has exceptional collection of Mesopotamia’s belongings.

Bundestag and the Brandenburg Gate – Bundestag is the parliament building build in the 18th century where after the war, Russian flag was hoisted. Along with it, Brandenburg Gate is the sign of lost of Germany and its democratic freedom.

Checkpoint Charlie is the doorway between the East Berlin and the West Berlin. A part of the Berlin Wall still exists in this area which was ruined in 1989.
